Tallowood’s students have had a deep affection for Abby Tracy and her work for several years now. In partnership with Worship in Action, this year’s Spark weekend focused on some additional needs for Abby’s new compound outside Kampala, Uganda: water and electricity. Each student was asked to give $30 to help drill the water well and bring electricity to the compound. Student Ministry staff used water bottles and light bulbs to represent their progress toward the goal. Rebecca Alexander recounts the results of the weekend:
Friday night students showed up more than ready to give their $30 (and lots more!) to add water bottles and turn on light bulbs to give a cup of water in Jesus’ name and light Abby’s house!
Students and adults continued to give and give, and by 11:00 a.m. on Sunday morning every water bottle was displayed and every single light bulb was brightly shining! In less than 4 days Spark participants gave $4,500 to fund the water well AND another $4,250 to bring electricity to the home for Abby and her boys! Wow, can you believe it? Actually, as of Monday, we had collected over $9,000 total! God is good!

You can continue to help Abby Tracy by giving toward the construction of five fish ponds on the compound. Just $9,000 will pay for everything, providing a source of both food and income to the street children of A Perfect Injustice. Can you help meet this need?
