Update from Abby (Tracy) Kakeeto

We began our Worship in Action Africa 2011 emphasis by focusing on the ministry of Abby Tracy (now Abby Kakeeto) to street children in Uganda.  Our goal was to raise $8,000 to build five fishponds on the site of their new children’s home, providing food and sustainable income for the home.  You gave over $10,100, enabling the project to be fully funded and more!  Here’s a thank you and an update from Abby on how things are going:

What a blessing!  We are supposed to be getting our land title out this coming Tuesday so by the end of next week we should be purchasing the new fishpond land.  We will be ready to rock and roll and start digging, Lord willing, in less than two weeks!  [My husband] David has a meeting next Wednesday with Jumah, a man on our board of directors who started a fishpond project in his home village and who will be helping us with ours.  Thank you so much!  We are so excited to get started on this!

What an awesome project to be a part of!  Thank you for your generosity.  We’ll keep you updated as things move along!
